GoSoft uses certain symbols to simplify the process of making corrections.

9 – The number 9 at the beginning of a file name indicates that there is a blank. When this file is downloaded, it will show up first in the folder on your hard drive.

BBB – The BBB symbol is used in a transcribed document when the transcriptionist is unable to understand the physician’s dictation. The bolded BBB is used for easy I.D.

SL (word) – This notation stands for ‘sounds like’ and is used when we the transcriptionist is not certain of the word being used.

Our goal is to make each medical transcription project as seamless as possible.
